NeuroMite’s Standard Program has been designed on combining principles from Neuroscience Research, Psychology and Education. It aims to assess students’ cognitive and non-cognitive abilities across primary and secondary school years, in order to optimise their learning capacity in the classroom and maximise their potential for success later in life.
From grades 3 through to 10, the Standard Program targets specific abilities through both computerised interactive ability assessments and support. The program is developmental in nature, in that it complements the timing of the normal development and maturation of the brain and its abilities. The sequencing of the abilities being trained over the 8 years also aligns with the natural sequence of ability development, with basic abilities being assessed before the more complex. The program is also designed to improve abilities for all students, not just those with deficits or learning difficulties, given that neuroplasticity can occur in all individuals. An outline of the program over the 8 years is presented below.
